- Product name
- Place & date of Purchase
- Issue / fault (pictures are often helpful)
We will respond within 1-2 business days. If it is necessary to send the product back to us, we will issue a Warranty Authorization Number (WA).
If you live in, or are passing through Cape Town, you’re welcome to bring warranty/repair items to our offices in Ndabeni for drop-off. Please submit a claim through the warranty application, and bring the claim number with your product when you drop it off. Should you want to check on your claim you can reach our customer service team at 021 532 0549.
We trust what we make because we use what we make. If for any reason, you’re not 100% satisfied with your Black Diamond apparel, we’ll repair, replace, or refund it. No charge. No fine print. No debate. Guaranteed. This offer does not extend to Special order items . Due to the fact that this product is not usually stocked in SA, any special order item can only be returned for manufacturer defect issues.”
What damages are not covered by warranty?
- Fading colors, logos and markings, due to use
- Cuts, burns, abrasions, or tears
- Packed out insulation
- Poor Fit
- Items bought used
- Product that has been modified (such as the use of Quiver Killers or other binding inserts)
- Apparel that has been altered, tailored, or otherwise modified by an entity other than Black Diamond
- Accidental damage
- Loss of waterproof coatings or treatments
- Dulling of points (such as on crampons or ice axes)
- Neglect or improper care for your product
- Cosmetic damages that do not affect the product’s functionality
- A replacement item does not constitute a new warranty period. Replacements are to ensure product satisfaction through the remainder of the original warranty period
EQUIPMENT LIMITED WARRANTY:
We warrant for one year from purchase date and only to the original retail buyer (Buyer) that our products (Products) are free from defects in material and workmanship. For headlamps our warranty is for three years. If Buyer discovers a covered defect, Buyer should return the Product to the place of purchase. In the event that this is not possible, please submit a warranty claim as described above. The Product will be repaired or replaced at our discretion. That is the extent of our liability under this Warranty and, upon expiration of the applicable warranty period, all such liability shall terminate. We reserve the right to require proof of purchase for all warranty claims.
We do not warranty Products against normal wear and tear (such as ski edge cuts and abrasions, outsole wear, etc.), unauthorized modifications or alterations, improper use, improper maintenance, accident, misuse, negligence, damage, or if the Product is used for a purpose for which it was not designed. This Warranty gives you specific rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. Except for expressly stated in this Warranty, we shall not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, or other types of damages arising out of, or resulting from the use of Product. This Warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose (some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or allow limitations on the duration of an implied warranty, so the above exclusions may not apply to you).
Abuse of the warranty policy will be determined at Black Diamond’s discretion and may result in a refusal of future services, without regard for whether it is a valid warranty issue.
